We are excited to have you joining us for the fermentation event of the year!

TIMES: The doors will open for for general admission and Kraut Mob ticket holders at 11am. If you are a VIP Sandor Katz Experience ticket holder you will receive specific instructions via email. You can arrive anytime between 11am – 5:30pm, but be sure to allow yourself enough time to taste all the fabulous samples our vendors will be serving up and check out the full day of educational sessions.

TICKETS/REGISTRATION: You do need your e-tickets for quick entry. If you have misplaced, you can search for the email you should have received from when you made the purchase. We can look you up on the will call list at the registration table if all else fails.

KRAUT MOB TICKET HOLDERS: When you arrive at the event, go to the Kraut Mob registration table. You can also upgrade your general admission ticket for a Kraut Mob ticket the day of the event. See registration for upgrading options.

PARKING: Parking for the event is free and will be on Hubbell Circle just south of the Hubbell House—just follow the “Event” signs. For driving directions and parking information, click here.

ALCOHOL: If you plan on sampling and purchasing alcohol,  please bring a photo ID regardless of age—everyone must be carded.

BE PREPARED: It will be HOT! Please plan for the heat, this is an outdoor event. Even though there will be shade throughout the venue, we highly recommend hats, sunscreen, water bottles, etc…we will have water stations on site and you can use your Festival souvenir glass to fill up or bring your own water bottles. This event is rain or shine!

Located in the Culture Swap “Kitchen” from 11am – 3pm
At the Fermentation Festival we will have a space devoted to swapping live cultures. The Culture & Ferment Swap will be a dedicated space at the festival for sharing and swapping your beloved mothers, starters, and ferments. Think sourdough mothers, vinegar mothers, kombucha SCOBYs, krauts, hot sauces, pickles, and more. So, if you have extra cultures and ferments you would like to share—bring them to the Festival for exchanging. Please label your cultures and ferments clearly and the ingredients used. You don’t have to include contact info, but it is encouraged.

BIKE IT TO THE FESTIVAL: An organized bike ride will start at the the Paseo del Bosque Trail at 10am on June 24. The ride is approx. 45 minutes long. A free bike valet will also be available during the hours of the festival from 11am to 5:30pm. Get the details here.

DOGS: Unless you have and assistance dog, we ask that you leave your dogs at home.

BRING A CHAIR: Although there will be seating available in the workshop tents and around the property, because of the heat, you may want to bring a lawn chair so you can get off your feet if you feel the need and all the seating is taken.

Best regards,
The Edible Team –

PS. Cash is recommend for purchasing from vendors as the internet is spotty at this venue and not all will have credit card readers.
